Next head down the street to the Civil Rights Memorial Center, which honors all martyrs of the civil rights movement, and whose aim is to encourage visitors to continue to push for equality and justice. Continue your walking tour over to the First White House of the Confederacy, one of Montgomery, Alabama’s most historic homes. Step back through time as you walk through, and take in the preserved 1850’s furnishings.
