Make sure you get there early to avoid the lunch rush, but if you get caught up in it, the wait is absolutely worth it!
Take The Combo sandwich and head over to Liberty State Park to have lunch. This stunning gem, featuring the iconic Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island as its breathtaking backdrop, has several picnic areas where you can eat and enjoy the views. After you are done eating, you can enjoy the numerous trails Liberty Park has to offer, or walk the two-mile promenade and access the Nature Center as well as the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal.
For dinner, we are going to blow your mind and tell you to eat pizza at Razza Pizza Artigianale. Yes, you read that right! Pizza, in Jersey City, New Jersey and not New York City. Featured in the New York Times, Thrillist, NJ Monthly, Food Curated, among others, Razza has established itself as serving up the best pizza on either side of the Hudson! Quite an accomplishment given the competition. Razza’s dishes are made in-house, and are comprised of ingredients that are in season and acquired from places you can reach via the Turnpike or the Parkway, which means their menu is constantly changing, but the quality of plates is always top notch.
